Meet Zahira

Hello there!

Thanks for visiting my website. I am a Latina woman who grew up on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. After completing my Bachelors degree, I moved to the mainland where I completed a 21 year career in the Information Technology sector. I have been living in Austin for 10 years now. It was here where I became a psychotherapist.

As a therapist, I find so much joy walking alongside my clients in their life’s journey. It is encouraging to witness the relief clients experience when they have a breakthrough, when the weight of the past is lifted from their shoulders and they can fully breathe again. It's enriching when couples can speak their truths, are heard and feel reconnected. It is my privilege to work with each of my clients and I value each one of them.

Support - I am here for you. I want you to feel supported and encouraged.
Laughter is welcomed here. I love when it shows up spontaneously in session. We do hard work and laughter can make the process a little bit lighter.

A little more about me

I am a wife, daughter, aunt, fur-mom, hiker, and lover of nature.
As an islander, I love the beach, the sun, and a nice breeze.
I love to travel and explore the local food scene.
I enjoy a good sci-fi movie. I grew up watching Alien and Star Wars (sorry Trekkers; no hard feelings).
I love a good taco with a sliver of avocado on top.
I am a bilingual therapist providing mental health services in Spanish and English.
